FRONT LINE

As the Amazon burns in flames, the Waujá indigenous people gather for the traditional Kuarup ceremony in the Piyulagá village of the Alto Xingu region.

Video and text by Felipe Campos Mello and Gabriel Villas-Boas

In the midst of the Government's disrespect for our forests and native peoples, the fires that have devastated the Amazon in recent months and the dehumanization of our relationship with Planet Earth, the documentary Front Line seeks, on the one hand, to warn of the destruction of the Amazon, and on the other, to present all the beauty and richness of traditional indigenous culture. This contrast represents the reality in which we live today and is a warning so that we can act while we are still in time.

Protection of our forests. Respect for the native peoples.
